Hershel McClure, age 75 of Paducah, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 6, 2021, 6:50 a.m. at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

Hershel attended Ware Memorial Church of God In Christ  was a retired operator from New Page Paper Mill in Wickliffe and a Lincoln High School graduate.

Hershel was a jack of all trades, he could and would fix anything. Being the giving person that he was, he would give you anything and help anyone in need.  Often called "Papi" he loved sitting in his recliner and was known as a good husband, father, grandfather, a shopper for his wife "Ginger"  keeping her in the latest fashions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon McClure and Helen Quisenberry McClure, one brother, R. J. McClure and one sister, Nettie Anderson.

He is survived by Loving wife of 54 years , Virginia McClure, one daughter; Brendae' Michelle McClure both of Paducah; three grandchildren; Hershel Brente McClure, and Joseph Reeves Jr. both of Paducah and Meko Buchanon of Louisville, KY; five great-grandchildren; Jaylin Bellamy, D'Marshawnn Hill, Olivia McClure, Avaiya McClure, Asaidyn McClure all of Paducah; two brothers, Leslie McClure and Weldon (Maxine) McClure both of Paducah; two sisters, Leona Lawrence of Paducah and Patrick Jackson of Colp, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with two special friends, Alonzo Atkinson and Michael Pass.

There will be no services.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
