Henry Clements Jones, Jr. entered death's part of life from his residence in Paducah, KY, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, 1:42 p.m., at the age of 80.

Henry was born in Paducah on May 18, 1943, to his parents, the late Henry Clements Jones, Sr. and Rosie Mary Cornelia McEwen.

Henry was a longtime faithful member of the St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church where he had served as a deacon, as a camera technician and as the facility grounds keeper.  He was a graduate of the former Lincoln High School and retired as a groundsman with over 30 years of service with Paducah Power.

Henry was one who enjoyed life to the fullest.  He was a jack-of all trades, doing for anyone whatever was needing done, whenever it was needed to be done.  He loved both gardening and hunting.  Henry was an excellent walking family historian, keeping everyone up with all past, present, and future events and always pleasing their palates with the delicious fish he cooked for their consumption.  Henry was also an avid Louisville Cardinal fan and could always give team statistics on point.

Henry leaves many family members and friends to mourn his passing:  Five Daughters, Tomesia Jones, Cherice Jones, Felecia Lee, Tisha Lee and Timyata Renee (Neal) Clark; One Son, William Lee, all of Paducah, KY; 8 Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren; Two Sisters, Beatrice Davis of Springfield, IL and Henrietta Owens of Paducah, KY; One Brother, Leon Jones of Mt. Kisco, NY; and A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins including Dan Jones of Paducah, KY; Emmanual Jones of California and His Former Wife, Amanda Jones of Paducah, KY, and Friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Lee Jones, two sons, Terry Jones and Timothy Williams; a daughter, LaDonna Renee Jones; his parents, Henry Clements Jones, Sr. and Rosie Mary Cornelia McEwen, four Brothers, William Jones, Tommie Jones, Paul Jones, and John Jones and four sisters, Mary Russell, Rosie Macklin, Dorothy Wesley, and Viola Jones.

Graveside services have been scheduled for Friday, November 10, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery with Reverend James Bolen Sr., officiating.

There will be no visitation.
