Obituary
Helen L. Flye Fagin, 86, New York City, New York, formerly of Paducah, died on July 28, 2009, 12:00 Noon, at New York Jewish Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Fagin was a member of Convent Baptist Church in New York City and had attended Paducah Public Schools, last attending Lincoln High School before moving to New York City where she worked until retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris L. Iron, New York City; four sisters, Marie Livingston, New York City; Erma Jean Flye, Nancy M. Lee, and Elva M. Carruthers, all of Paducah; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hawley and Viola Ferrell Flye; three sisters and one brother.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 5, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church, 721 Washington Street, Paducah, with Reverend Raynarldo Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:0 a.m. until the funeral hour.
