Harry "Chipper" Sloan, 57 years, 7 months, and 7 days old left his earthly home for eternal rest on May 24, 2010, 1:20 P.M. at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City, Kentucky. Chipper, as he was affectionately known, was born October 17, 1952 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Harry Eugene Sloan, Sr. and Rosella Wilson. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Hattie Sloan, and two aunts, Myrtle Wilson and Cynthia Harris.
Chipper was a member of New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church since 1981. He was a 1970 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. Chipper enjoyed people and like to talk to everyone. He was often labeled the comical one of the conversation. Chipper enjoyed listening to music and attending church. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
