Gloria Jean Allen, age 53 of Memphis, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at her residence.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

She attended Metropolis Community High School and was a former Dental Hygienist and was retired from Fed Ex in Memphis, Tennessee.

Gloria loved life, she was a very friendly and an outgoing person, also a kind-hearted and even tempered person. She enjoyed traveling and thoroughly enjoyed her family. You could say that she had fun in all things she participated in.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Allen and Corine Lacy, three brothers, Charles Allen, Isiah Allen and John Coffee.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory; four sisters , Abadean Jackson of Paducah, KY; Lena (Ricky) Brooks of Murfreesboro, TN, Savannah Simmons of Memphis, TN, and Lenore Jormon of St. Louis, MO; five brothers, Curtis Bond of Columbus, OH, James (Doris) Allen of Marion, IL, Elijah (Janet) Allen of Metropolis, IL, McArthur Allen of Atlanta, Ga, and Ray (Toris) Allen of Paducah, KY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
