Obituary
Girard A. Roach, 56, Paducah, KY, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, 5:00 a.m. at his residence in Paducah, KY.
Mr. Roach was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Louisville Male Central High School. He was a welder and formerly employed with the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District.
Mr. Roach was preceded in death by his father, Bobby E. Roach, and one brother.
He is survived by one son, De'Shawn Price, Louisville, KY; one daughter, Bobbi Leverette, Charlotte, NC; His mother, Suzanne H. Bacon, Paducah, KY; one brother, James Roach, Winston-Salem, NC; four sisters, Rosalind Bass, Barbara Patton, both of Paducah, KY, Tracey Roach, Richmond, VA, and Brenda Berry, St. Louis. MO; One granddaughter, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, 1229 Madison Street, Paducah, Kentucky with Reverend Joe Flagg and Reverend Alfred Anderson Officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, KY.
The family will receive visitors Friday, November 18, 2011 from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home.
