Gina Louise Goodwin age 63, formerly of Paducah, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at approximately 5:58 p.m. in Louisville, KY at her residence.

Gina was a former member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Paducah and currently attended the Kingdom Center in Louisville.

Gina was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and was employed as a nurse's assistant at the Nazareth Home in Louisville.

She was a hard worker displaying perfectionism in everything that she made up in her mind to do. Gina was also an avid reader, a great grandmother to her grandchildren, and loved to cook her famous cornbread. But most of all you would always find Gina in the house of Lord.

Gina was preceded in death by her parents, Tyrone Douglas Goodwin Sr. and Dorothy Mae Gary Patterson.

She leaves to cherish sweet memories: her son, Mekell Cuz (Kiara) Goodwin of Louisville, KY, one daughter, Mea Patrice Goodwin of Dallas, TX, one granddaughter, Kamiel Goodwin and one grandson, Malik Goodwin both of Louisville, KY; a step-father, Paul Patterson Jr., of Paducah; four siblings, Tyrone (Cheryl) Goodwin, Jr. of Bryans Road, MD, Spencer Goodwin of Tampa, FL, Debra (Melvin) Michaeux of Houston, TX  and Garylynn (Martin) Gaymon of Dallas, TX; one aunt , Willapaul (Ron) Smith and one uncle, Huey Gary Sr., both of Paducah and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 22, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating.

Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
