Germaine T. Taylor age 61 of Paducah, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, 1:41 p.m. at her residence.
Germaine , a steadfast and committed member of Burkes Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church where hes was a loyal tither. She worked in various departments of the church including serving as the Culinary Department Chairperson and in the Youth Ministry. She was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and lived as a homemaker.
Those to also greet her into her Heavenly Home are Her Son , Tavares T. Askew; Parents, Horace Askew and Lexie Parchman Askew; Four Sisters , Bernice Askew, Lexie Askew, Frances Martin, and Celia Mae Askew-Davenport and Six Brothers , Horace Askew, Jr., George Askew, Gill Askew, Arthur Askew, Joseph Askew, and Billy Askew.
Germaine leaves many family and friends to mourn her passing, including: Her Devoted Companion , Samuel E. Irons; Her Husband , Jack Taylor; A Son, Joshua L. Askew; Eight Grandchildren , all of Paducah, KY; Two Brothers , Joe Askew of Gary, IN and Donald (Connie) Askew of Paducah, KY; Three Sisters , Ann McPherson, Tamyra Askew and Sarah Askew, all of Paducah, KY; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Other Relatives, and Friends.
Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for Friday, February 17, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Donna Lorhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Family and Friends may call Friday at the church from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
