George H. Reeves, Jr., age 80, of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, 12:50 p.m. at his residence.

He was member of Ninth Street Church of Christ where he served as church treasurer.
He was employed by Tick Brothers and retired from B.F. Goodrich of Calvert City as a security guard.

Reeves was preceded in death by his father George Henry Reeves, Sr., two sisters and a grandson.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Edna Wilber Reeves of Paducah; three daughters, Joyce Dabney of Nashville, TN, Wanda Wilson and Geraldine Cozart both of Paducah; two sons, Kenneth Reeves , Sr. of Nashville, TN and George Skinner of Paducah, Nine grandchildren, Twenty-one great-grandchildren; his mother, Birdie Miller Reeves Claybrooks of Paducah; five sisters, Frances Hamilton and Shirley Shumpert both of Paducah, Loretta Stewart of Louisville, KY, Doris Wilson of Kansas City, MO and Bobbie Wiggins of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Larry Reeves of Paducah; several nieces, nephews , cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Ninth Street Church of Christ with Mark Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Ninth Street Church of Christ on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
