George Earl Catlett, age 84, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019, 1:36 a.m., at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

He was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Navy where he served during the Korean and Vietnam Era. He was also both a retired Navy Signal Man and a retired foreman of the Mattel Corporation.

He was a member of Ruling Star Lodge #51, PHA, Past Deputy of Paducah Consistory # 92, and Past Potentate of Balkis Temple #157.

He is survived by his wife , Wilma Jean Waldon Catlett of Paducah; five daughters , Kimberley Catlett of Waynesboro, PA, Karlesta Mitchell of Fredericksburg, VA, Karissa Catlett-Ennis of Indianapolis, IN, Kaptoria Sanders of Centreville, VA, and Tonya Moore of Murfreesboro, TN; two sons , Kyrile Catlett of Murray and Glenn F. Waldon, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Catlett and Nellie Mae Blanton Catlett.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Murray with Reverend James L. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call upon the family from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, November 25, 2019 and again on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, 8:00 am until 10:30 a.m. at which time Masonic Rites will be performed.
