Gayle E. Waldon, 59, of West Paducah, died Friday at Lourdes Hospital.

Mrs. Waldon, a homemaker, was a member of Oakalone Christian Church where she served as Sunday School Treasurer, Youth Director and President of the Sunshine Club and was a member of the Missionary Society and the Culinary Arts Committee. She was a graduate of Heath High School.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years Lee Waldon of West Paducah; her step-father O.D. Heady of West Paducah; a daughter Tawonna Powell of Antioch, TN; two grandsons; one granddaughter; a sister Brenda Boyd of Madison, TN; two brothers, Reverend Benny Heady of West Paducah and Phillip Heady of Paducah; three aunts; two uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Rhea and Ruth Titsworth Rhea and a son
Aaron Lee Waldon.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at New Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church. Reverends W.G. Harvey and Benny Heady will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home.
