Gaddis Mims, Jr., 80, of Mayfield, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017, 8:58 p.m., at Mills Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center of Mayfield.
Gaddis was a member of Second Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Mayfield where he had served as both building and groundskeeper. He was formerly employed in construction as a concrete finisher and retired while living in Birmingham, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaddis Mims, Sr. and Essie Lee Mallot Mims; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 17, 2017, 12:00 Noon, at Second Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Mayfield. Reverend Dennis Gray will officiate and burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Mayfield.
Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.
