Obituary

Freddie W. Coleman, of Paducah, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 202, 8:40 a.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes.

Freddie W. Coleman's final chapter of his earthly journey came to its close.  When Freddie made his Heavenly transition, he had been blessed with 67 years of life to the day.  He was born in Gracey, Kentucky, on December 14, 1955, to the late Freddie Coleman and Lezora Dillard Coleman.

Freddie , a graduate of Christian County High School in Hopkinsville, KY, strengthened his spiritual growth by joining the Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church.  He attended the Paducah campus of the Institute of Engineering and Technology for two years before accepting employment as an HR/HD Technician with Lubrizol Incorporated.  Lubrizol recently awarded him the "2022 Founder's Award" in recognition of his community service and for his 45 years of dedicated commitment to the company's goals and values.

Freddie , was an "INCREDIBLE MAN" a wonderful husband, outstanding dad and excellent provider.  He loved to travel, never met a stranger and was a father figure to the many young people who benefitted from his mentorship.

Freddie took great pride in maintaining peak physical condition. His exercise regime included lifting weights, kickboxing and cardio. An outdoors lover, Freddie prided himself on keeping his yard in pristine condition and was most at peace sitting on his deck and listening to blues.

Whenever the Paducah Tilghman Tornadoes were on the basketball court, Freddie, always sharply dressed, could be found on the sideline helping to execute plays.  In addition to his work at the high school, he coached basketball for decades at the Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club of Paducah, Kentucky.

Freddie leaves his loving family and friends to mourn his passing : His Wife of 45 years, 9 months and 3 days , Yvonne L. Meade Coleman of Paducah, KY; One Daughter , Yolanda Coleman of Atlanta, GA; Four Brothers , Walter Ed (Floretta) Coleman, Charlie Coleman and Paul (Laura) Coleman, all of Hopkinsville, KY and Michael (Yvonne) Coleman of Bowling Green, KY; Four Sisters , Katherine Coleman, Dorothy Payne and Marie (Ron) Patillo, all of Hopkinsville, KY and Bernita (Bergen) Boyd of Cadiz, KY; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a Wide Array of Friends.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Daunte' Coleman; his brother, James Coleman; his sister, Virginia Bacon and his sister-in-law, Jackie Coleman.

Freddie W. Coleman will be greatly missed for his love for his family, his community, and all humankind.
