Frances Lee Cathey, at 73 years, 11 months and 17 days of age, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, 8:05 a.m., at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital of Paducah, Kentucky.  Frances, known to family and friends as "Sue" was born in Metropolis, Illinois as the lovely daughter of James P. Williams and Eula Mae Coffee on July 19, 1948.

Sue was of the Baptist Faith and a 1967 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School.  She was formerly employed as a Team Leader of Walmart and retired after over 40 years of dedicated service.

Sue dearly loved her family and showered her grandchildren with that special grandmother love.  Although Sue was a very quiet person who stayed to herself, she was still loved by all who came in contact.  Sue was a self-proclaimed great dancer who would make her own moves on the dance floor.  She was an avid walker and loved playing cards when time allowed.

Sue will be remembered by her many family members and friends which include Her Children , Thresa (Albert) Giles of St. Johns, FL , Robert (Matthew) Cathey, Jr. of Fayettteville, GA , Joseph (Paula) Cathey of Louisville, KY and Tawana (Eric) Wright of Green Cove Springs, FL ; Her Nine Grandchildren , Shayla, Megan, Mark, Andre', Austen, Jordan, Nadia, Naomi, and Nicholas; One Brother , David (Debra) Sutton of Murphysboro, IL ; Her Devoted Friend and Life-Partner , Michael Venerble of Paducah, KY ; A Host of Other Family Members and Friends .

She was preceded in death not only by her parents, but also her grandson, Michael Giles.

A Memorial Service has been scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022, 1:00 PM, here in our chapel.
