Obituary
Faye Harriett McFarland, 85, Paducah, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013, 6:25 a.m., at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Ms. McFarland was a member of Ninth Street Church of Christ.
Ms. McFarland retired as a supervisor from the Cook County Department of Human Resources for Employment.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Roy McFarland, her parents, Robert Benjamin Coleman and Mary Alene Mayes Coleman, one son, James Edward McFarland, two sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by one daughter, Chavonne Lea McFarland, Paducah, KY; one son, Roy Benjamin McFarland, Paducah, KY; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one brother, Robert James Coleman, Paducah, KY; two sisters, Sarah Alice Coleman and Nellie Bernice Coleman, both of Paducah, KY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Ninth Street Church of Christ with Mark Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, KY.
The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday, December 30, 2013, from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
