Obituary
Evelyn Simpson, 82, Paducah, passed away, Wednesday, December 3. 2014, 8:59 pm, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah.
Evelyn was of the Baptist faith and was formerly employed in housekeeping at Jacob Paving Company in Detroit, MI.
She is survived by five brothers, William Jones of Racine, WI, Gene Jones and Willie Jones, both of Columbia, MO, Lannie Jones of Paducah, and Sammy Jones of Brookport, IL; one sister, Dorothy Jones of Brookport, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Simpson, and her parents William Manuel Jones and Martha Ann Nelson Jones.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, December 13, 2014, 1:00 pm, at Shady Grove Cemetery in Brookport, IL.
Friends may also call at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00am until 12:00 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donatons are made to the Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club, P.O. Box 203, Paducah, KY 42002
