Eva Diane Brown entered into her new Heavenly Existence from Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at approximately 7:19 p.m.  Diane, as she was so well-known and lovingly called by her family and friends, was born on November 10, 1951, in Cairo, Illinois, to her parents, the late Lavoid Brown and Mildred Eva Moore Brown.  At the time of her transition, Diane was 69 years, 3 months and 4 days old.  She reunited not only with her parents, but also with her sister, Brenda Hicks and her brother, Tildon Hicks.  What a time they must be having.

Diane was a member of the New Greater Love Church and had recently been attending church virtually through Second Christian Church of Mayfield, Kentucky.

Diane had a strong desire to and fondness of hair dressing.  She made this desire a reality by studying cosmetology and graduating from the West Kentucky Vocational School where she was certified in cosmetology.   She also expanded her education and became a certified licensed practical nurse (LPN).  Diane went on to work as a cosmetologist and was also employed as an LPN at the Superior Care Nursing Home.

She is survived by one daughter, Erica Brown; three grandchildren, DeVonte' (Laura) Brown, DeAnte' Brown (Falyn Shoemake) and Marthasia Brown (Tre' Adaire) all of Paducah; eleven great-grandchildren, one nephew Demetrius L. (Leticia) Overton of Paducah, a host of cousins and special friends including, Dorothy Wilson, Myrtle Dupree, Donnie McCauley and a Nora  Jean Brown who was like a sister to her.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, 12 noon at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Dennis Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
