Ester M. Crider, 67, Paducah, died Sunday, March 28, 2010, 4:00 a.m., at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Ester was a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board, was a Sunday School Teacher and Church Treasurer, and was a member of the Culinary Arts Department. She worked as housekeeper at the Travel Lodge Motel and was a former cashier at Dunn's Drug Store. Ester attended Rosary Chapel School and received her Tailoring Degree from West Kentucky State Vocational School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R. D. Young and Uvander Samuels Young and one brother, Don Young.

Ester is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phillip Lee Crider, Sr., Paducah; one daughter, Debra Young, Dolton, IL; one son, Phillip Crider, Jr., Paducah; one granddaughter and one grandson; four brothers, Charles Young, Auburn Hills, MI; Terry Young, Paducah; James Young, Hampton, VA; Robert Young, Charlotte, NC; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 3, 2010, 12:00 p.m., at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, 1229 Madison Street, Paducah. Reverend Donnie Duncan will officiate.
