Ernest Albert Mitchell , age 71 of Paducah, transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 25, 2022, 11:52 p.m., from Mercy Health Lourdes.

Ernest was of the Christian faith and a graduate of Arsoning Tech in Indianapolis, IN.  He was previously employed as a laborer at Indianapolis Citizens Gas.

Ernest enjoyed listening to music, spending money and loved to dress fashionably. He was a loving and caring person who loved his family dearly and wanted to make sure everyone was treated right.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Charles Mitchell and Catherine Faulkner Crumbaugh; Four Sisters , Delores Mitchell-Holland, Annie Mae Mitchell-Cummings, Lucille Mitchell-Willerby and Betty Ingram Cooper; Three Brothers , Marcellus Mitchell, Robert Mitchell and Herbert Crumbaugh.

He leaves to mourn his memories: His Wife , Michele Mitchell of Indianapolis, IN ; Two Sons , Shawn (Kelley) Mitchell of Oklahoma City, OK and David (Charlotte) Mitchell of Paducah, KY ; Seven Grandchildren , Shonta Mitchell of Oklahoma City, OK, Kejuan Sebress of Indianapolis, IN , Trevon Mitchell, Chaunte Springer, Michael Mitchell, Khane Mitchell and Darrian Giles all of Oklahoma City, OK; One Great-Grandson , Chance Widener; One Great- Granddaughter , A'Riyah Mitchell, One Brother , William (Judy) Mitchell and Three Sisters , Marjorie Crumbaugh, Dorothy Mitchell-Cole and Elizabeth Crumbaugh, all of Paducah, KY ; His Former Wife , Paula Jordan of Indianapolis IN and a Host Of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Ernest will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at the Southside Kiwanis Club, 1640 South 6th Street, Paducah, KY.
