Erma Rogers, 75, Brookport, IL, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013, 6:30 AM at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL.

She was a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church where she served as both church secretary and treasurer and was a member of the choir. She attended West Kentucky Vocational School where she received certification in tailoring and was a retiree of Hawley Products.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George W. Rogers of Brookport, IL; two sons, Armon Rogers of Chicago, IL and Bert Rogers of Brookport, IL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Bradshaw and Verma T. Morris, both of Metropolis, IL and Mary Hardy of Brookport, IL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cary Nelson, Jr. and Mamie Lee Henderson Nelson; one brother, Lawrence Nelson and an infant sister.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 9, 2013, 2:00 PM at Roberts and Sons Mortuary, 524 Greensboro Street, Winona, MS. with Rev. Johnny Butts officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 12 noon until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in Wilmount Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS.

Local visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home.
