Emma Lou Fitzpatrick Johnson, age 96, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at her residence on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 7:25 a.m.

She was a member of Mt. Horeb Freewill Baptist Church, a graduate of the former Dunbar High School, a retiree of Massac Unit 1 School District Environmental Services and the Happy Hearts Nutrition Center, all of Metropolis.

She is survived by one son , Carl W. Johnson, Jr. and one daughter , Paula J. Crim, both of Metropolis, IL; seven grandchildren ; twelve great-grandchildren ; six nieces , two nephews ; a devoted daughter-in-law , Robie Titsworth, Metropolis, IL, and several cousins .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Johnson, Sr.; her father, Freeman Fitzpatrick and step-father, John Ogwynn and her mother Marry Cooper Fitzpatrick Ogwynn; one son, Jeff Johnson and 13 sibliings.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday, December 24, 2019, 12:00 Noon, at Mt. Horeb Freewill Baptist Church in Metropolis with Reverend Harvey Baxter presiding. Burial
will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis.

Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
