Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Thompson was born July 18, 1943 to the parents of Sam A. and Laura L. Prather of Corinth, MS. She departed this life on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 9:10 P.M. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Paducah, KY where she served diligently for many years until her health began to fail. She served as a trustee, chaired Pastor's Anniversary, and was president of the Usher Board. Her service in church was both fruitful and inspirational to all.

Elizabeth was a member of the Brunch Club. She was also a member and Past Matron of Queen Esther Chapter #4 Order of the Eastern Star; Balkis Court #156, Past Illustrious Commandress; Paducah Assembly #92, Past Loyal Lady Ruler; and Cecilia Dunlap Grand Chapter of Diamonds, Prince Hall Affiliated, Past Grand Guardian.

On September 5, 1964, Sis. Elizabeth was united in Holy Matrimony to Fredrick D. Thompson, who preceded her in death.
