Edwin Ceward George, Jr., age 69 years, 2 months and 11 days, was born on January 21, 1955, in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Edwin C. George, Sr. and Rosa L. George. He transitioned into eternal life on April 2, 2024, 3:45 p.m., from Baptist Health of Paducah.
Edwin was a member of Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church.
He was a 1973 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and attended Paducah Community College and West Kentucky Vocational School where he studied in the fields of art and barbering. He even played baseball in his younger age. He also loved to draw and was very good at doing so. He was in his own element when he drove his vehicle as fast as he could at the time. Edwin loved people, especially his family, and they loved him; he never met a stranger. He was known by both family and friends and answered to "Fast Eddie," "Cat Daddy," "King George," "Little Prince," "Daddy Buck" and last, but not least, "The Ambassador". Most of all and above all, Edwin was the "King of Fashion" as he walked among his peers.
Those left to remember him are his Six Grandchildren; Eighteen Great-Grandchildren; Two Sisters, Dianne George of Madison, TN and Beverly Stone of Hendersonville, TN; Two Brothers, Thomas George of Cincinnati, OH and Michale George of Paducah, KY; One Brother-In-Law, Billy Stone of Hendersonville, TN; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and his Special Friends, Joyce "The Interrogator" Donelson, Donald Holt, Jr., Denise "Sheeba- FBI" Wilson, Annie Bell George and Linda Caloun.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Adrann George, one son, Demetric George, one grandson, Jalen Brown, his parents, the late Edwin C. George, Sr. and Rosa L. George, one sister, Debra George Crosby and one brother, Ronald George.
A Memorial Service has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 12:00 Noon, at the Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the church Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. until the Memorial Hour.
Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home.
