Eddie Louis Teague, age 77, of Paducah, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, 8:17 p.m., at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

He was a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Metropolis, IL, where he served as song leader and on the transportation committee. He was formerly employed in maintenance at Shoney's.

Eddie drove the church van for a number of years and was a song leader in the church. He loved to talk and tell funny stories, clean cars and watch wrestling. When Eddie was able to attend most of the Paducah Tilghman games, you would often hear him shout "Kill the Quarterback". When away from his home, you could often find him at his second home "McDonalds".

He is survived by his wife of 47 years , Rozela Bennett Teague of Paducah; three sons , Eddie (Robin) Fitzgerald Teague and Lee Anthony Teague, both of Lexington, TN and Andre' (Donna) Bennett of Paducah; one daughter , Andrea Hart of Lexington, TN; four brothers , Bobby (Donna)Teague of Jackson, TN, , Adell (Joliet) Teague of Parson, TN, Odell (Ophelia) Teague of Lexington, TN, and Paul (Lena)Teague Sr., of Paducah; four sisters , Jearlene Cooper of Paducah, Ruthie Harmon and Christine (Jesse) Hall, both of Lexington, TN and Louise (Joe Nathan)Nichols of Selmer, TN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren , nieces, nephews, cousins, his mother-in-law, Nettie Bennett Trice of Paducah, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior Robert Teague and Lillie Ida Tharp Teague; four brothers, Herman Teague, Willie Teague, Charles Teague and James Teague, three sisters, Willa Buckley, Earlene Bennett and Corine Sue Humphrey.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home. Mark Rowe will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
