Obituary

Douglas Clauzell McDonald, 67, of Brookport, IL, died on Friday, November 4, 2011, 10:45 a.m., at Medco Center of Paducah.

He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Elenora Mitchell McDonald of San Francisco, CA; two daughters, Nikki Mitchell of Sacramento, CA and Ijnanya Foster of San Francisco, CA; three sons, Cleavon Foster and Winston McDonald, both of San Francisco, CA and Quinten McDonald of Brookport, IL; one sister, Andrea L. McDonald Sutton of Metropolis, IL; six brothers, Linden Lee McDonald of Milwaukee, WI, Michael Early McDonald of Metropolis, IL, Malcolm Reid McDonald of Colorado Springs, CO, Morton Dennis McDonald of Denver, CO, Neil Barry McDonald of Killeen, TX, and Bruce Kevin McDonald of Oakland, CA; six grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Early Clauzell McDonald and Bernice J. Summerville McDonald, his son, Freeman McDonald and a brother.

Funeral Service with Reverend Calvin R. Cole, Sr. officiating is scheduled for Sunday, November 13, 2011, 5:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 South 8th Street. Friends may also call at the church on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Burial will follow on Monday, November 14, 2011, 12:30 p.m. at Mound National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.
