Obituary

Dorothy was born to Freeman Hall and Johnnie Hall-Williams on February 7, 1938, in Jackson, TN.  After 85 years on this earth, she went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 24, 2023, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

Dorothy was a member of Rosary Chapel Catholic Church where she was active with the Women's Club and bookkeeping. As a child, she attended Washington Douglas Elementary School and graduated from Mary High School in Jackson, TN. She obtained her nursing assistant certification from Paducah Tilghman Area Vocational-Technical School and worked as a CNA for several years. Her last place of employment was at Wal-Mart where she thoroughly enjoyed working in the Women's Department.

Dorothy grew up as an only child who was given lots of tender loving care by her grandmother, Rachel Williams, her uncle, Frank White, and her aunt, Ruby Rice. Dorothy loved to travel. She also loved shopping and watching her favorite soap operas "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful", and her favorite shows, "The Price is Right" and "Wheel of Fortune". She deeply loved music, especially the blues, in particular B.B. King. She loved fashion, and she was always sporting the latest designer bag. Despite having a large family, she had a way of making everyone she encountered feel special.

Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memories Four Sons, Anthony (Cathy) Hall of Clarksville, TN, Timothy Hall and Phillip R. Hall, both of Paducah, KY, and Joseph Hall of Toledo, OH; Two Daughters, Allyson "June" (Herschel) Hall-Stepp of Paducah, KY and Monica (Matthew) Hall-Fuson of Pueblo, CO; 20 Grandchildren,  a host of Great-Grandchildren, several Cousins, and many friends including Life-Friends, Ida Bell Pearl of Texas, Lou Willie Gill of Jackson, TN, Sheila Forrest, Beatrice "Beatty" White and the Aydelott Family, all of Paducah, KY.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Freeman Hall and Johnnie Hall-Williams; one daughter, Rachel Dvonne Hall-Miller; one son, Michael Wayne Hall and two grandsons, Jon Anthony Hall and Jacolby Askew.

Family and friends alike will cherish the loving memory of Dorothy Jean Hall.
