Obituary
Dorothy L. Bradford, 66, Paducah, formerly of Metropolis, IL, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at her residence.
Dorothy was a retiree of the former Laidlaw Manufacturing , Inc. She was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church. Dorothy was also a member of "The National Bowling Association and the 600 Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother Gertie Mae Waldon, a daughter Jacqueline Heady, a brother, and a great-grandson.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Joycelyn Lightfoot of Paducah and Kathy Bradford of Louisville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Pearl L. Bell of Paducah; one uncle, three aunts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services with Reverend James L. Hudson officiating are scheduled for 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Harrison Street Baptist Church, 1126 Harrison Street, Paducah. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis, IL.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home, 1229 Madison Street, Paducah, on Friday, February 5, 2010 and may call at the church after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday ,February 6, 2010.
