Don B. Suggs, 72, of Paducah, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011, 10:35 a.m., at Western Baptist Hospital.

Don was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of the former Lincoln High School. He was employed for several years with the Paducah city's refuse department and coached baseball.

He is survived by four sons, Donovan Suggs of Ocala, FL, Tim Whitaker of Kevil, KY, Mike(Kelly) Whitaker of Paducah, KY, and George(Maite') Whitaker of Boise, ID; five daughters, Kimberly Hilliard of St. Louis, MO, LaQueta(Ricky) Ewing of Kokomo, IN, Jennifer (Scott)Wilson and Connie Bradshaw, both of Clarksville, TN, and Christina Farmer of Paducah, KY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Beulah Woodard of Nashv ille, TN; a loving partner, Linda A. Fike of West Paducah, KY; two aunts, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Whitaker; parents, Curtis Suggs, Sr. and Vera Albey Suggs; a sister, Shirley Huskey and two brothers, Percy Suggs and Curtis Suggs, Jr.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 15, 2011, 1:00 p.m., at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home. Reverend Calvin R. Cole, Sr. will officiate, and burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may also call on Thursday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
