We celebrate the life and legacy of Dolores McSparin, age 77 passed peacefully on October 2, 2026. She was born on March 30, 1949, in Paducah, Ky, to the late James & Lois Morris. She was preceded in death by husbands, James Burrus, Clyde McSparin and brother, Henry Morris.

Dolores accepted Christ at an early age while a member at St. John AME Church. She loved the Lord and found joy in singing spiritual songs.

She graduated from Paducah Tilghman High and later became a Respiratory Therapist working several years at Lourdes Hospital. Some of her favorite pastimes were bingo, watching westerns, and backgammon.

Dolores leaves behind her children: James (Phyllis) Burrus, Marthenia (James) Tabb, and Joshua Burrus; grandchildren: Tomise McCann, Elisha Burrus, Cameron Tabb, Dolores (Quintin) Clark, Adrian (Quinn) Burrus-Sames, Madeline (Noah) Payton, Alexis Burrus, Jaliyah Tabb, Mack Burrus, Marley Burrus; and her precious great-grandchildren: Kadence, Elijah, Dallas, and Denver.

Left to cherish her memories are siblings Rosa Moss, Helen (Ken) Norris, Elizabeth Morris, Marilyn Hawkins, Sarah (Eric) Foreman, Barbara Drain, Lucille Billingsley, James (Kazumi) Morris, Marthenia Morris, William (Cathy) Morris, Mattie Morris, and Gladys Morris, host of relatives and dear friends.

The remembrance of life will be Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 11:00AM at the Washington Street Baptist Church 721 Washington Street Paducah, KY 42003.
