Derrick Lea'ed Martin, age 51, of Eau Claire, WI, born in Chicago, IL, formerly of Brookport, IL passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, 11:06 p.m., at his residence.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Derrick was a 1986 graduate of Massac County High School where he was a straight "A" student. After his graduation, he went on and receive an associates degree in computer programming.

He was previously employed at Indian Head Food Service in Eau Claire, WI as a computer programmer. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he was a air traffic controller.

Derrick loved music, playing the piano and working with computers.

He is survived by two daughters; Brianna Martin of Germany and Olivia Martin of Eau Claire, WI; one son; Issiah Martin of Eau Claire, WI; his parents; Edgar Martin Jr. and Linda Martin both of Brookport, IL; one brother; Kavien (Marnita) Martin of Rancho Cucmonga, CA; two sisters; Nickkey Martin (Willis) Porter of Tucson, AZ; and Courtney Martin of Nashville, TN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins .

Incompliance with the requirements set forth for Kentucky Funeral Homes by Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association, services will be private.
