Derrick Royce Hensley, age 29, of Paducah, passed away Friday, 5:30 p.m. February 16, 2018.

He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School.

He is survived by two sons , Demetrius La'Cour-Hensley and Karamello La'Cour, both of Brookport, IL; his mother , Althea Ruth Hensley of Paducah; five brothers , DeAries LaShawn Shannon, Jamieson Frazier and Christopher Michael Carruthers, all of Paducah, Antwan Brandon Frazier of South Fulton, TN, and Samuel LaMont Carruthers of Hopkinsville, KY; one sister, Christina Carruthers of Washington, PA; Grandmother , Norma Jean Fitzgerald Hensley of Paducah; three uncles ; four aunts ; several nieces, nephews, and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his father James Carruthers, Sr and one brother, James Carruthers, Jr.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2018, 11:30 a.m., at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Edward Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Friends may also call at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
