Derrick Carson passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at his residence in Paducah, Kentucky. At the time of his passing, he had reached the age of 71 years, 1 month and 23 days. He was of the Christian faith.

Derrick was born in Washington, D.C. on November 3, 1953, and attended the Washington, D.C. public school system. He was previously employed as a maintenance worker at Sears.

Derrick was a quiet person who kept to himself. Although he led a quiet life, he was very passionate about his hobbies such collecting toy cars and painting various objects. He was an all-around handyman, and when he was not crafting, you would find him doing lawn work, because he was an excellent lawn keeper.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Earthen Carson and Eunice King Carson, one brother, Ronald Carson, and one sister, Laura Williams.

Left behind with sweet memories are One Sister, Yolanda Winston of Burns Harbor, Indiana; One Niece, Briana Williams of Washington D.C., Two Nephews, Malik Williams of Washington, D.C. and Conrad Simmons Jr. of Gary, IN; along with several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
