Darrie'll De'on Travis , son of Joe Travis, Sr. and Shaketha Cleary, left this earthly life for eternal rest on Monday, April 11, 2022, 8:03 p.m., from Baptist Health Paducah of Paducah, Kentucky. At the time of his departure, Darrie'll was blessed to have lived to be 29 years, 11 months and 7 days.
Darrie'll had attended Christ Temple Apostolic Church and was a 2010 graduate of the Bluegrass Challenge Academy. He was formerly employed as a customer service representative with J.C. Penney. Darrie'll had also served three years with the NJROTC while attending school.
Darrie'll who was lovingly known as "Dee" to both family and friends considered his greatest achievement as becoming a father. He loved his children, rap music, the color red, and family. Wearing Jordan's and Levi's was "HIS THING" ! Dee was a Mama's boy from the day he was born until the time of his death. His favorite movie was "Scarface". He enjoyed chilling with his cousin/brother, Marchon, as they listened to music, writing lyrics and making beats. Dee was also a "SHARP DRESSER" . He was in general a very caring individual who enjoyed talking to others. Dee along with his father really had a liking to older cars. This great interest led his to owning his own wheels, a Blue Monte Carlo.
Dee , a family man, left behind in this life to cherish his many fond memories: Two Sons , Darrie'll Travis, Jr. and Brayon Travis, both of Indianapolis, IN ; His Mother and Step-Father , Shaketha Cleary and James Cleary; His Father , Joe Travis, Sr., all of Paducah, KY ; Five Sisters , Jalicah Burgess of Mayfield, KY , Tamia Travis of Anna, IL , Jolesa Travis of Paducah, KY , Erica Smith of Savannah, GA , and Keisha Starks of Lexington, KY ; Two Step-Sisters , Kya Cleary of Paducah, KY and Maya Cleary of Nashville, TN ; One Brother , Joe Travis, Jr. of Paducah, KY ; Special Relationships with his Cousin/Brother , Anthony Marchon Bryant of Paducah, KY and His Favorite Aunt/2 nd Mom , Shataka Burgess of Paducah, KY and His Favorite Nephew , Makhi Burgess of Mayfield, KY ; Maternal Grandmother , Cassandra Chairs and Maternal Grandfather , Ricky Burgess, both of Paducah, KY ; Five Nieces ; Four Nephews ; Aunt, Wanda Travis of Paducah, KY ; Four Uncles , Chaka (Amy) Burgess and Jessie (Suzanne) Travis Both of Paducah, KY , William "BoBo" (Jackie) Travis of Jacksonville, FL , and Lamont Travis of Virginia Beach, VA ; A Host of Cousins and Many Friends .
Dee was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, William and Doris Travis.
DARRIE'LL DE'ON TRAVIS was surrounded by his closest loved ones during the time of his passing and will forever be in our hearts and loved eternally ……………. Your Loving Family
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 18, 2022, 12 noon at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Anthony Walton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
All in attendance are required to wear a mask.
