Darren Keith Johnson better known as "Drakester" age 57 of Metropolis, IL passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 9:15 p.m. at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

He was of the Baptist Faith and confessed in Jesus Christ early in life.

He attended Downers Grove North High School in Downers Grove, Illinois and was formerly employed at Arrow Trucking.

"Drakester" enjoyed reading, writing, telling jokes, antique cars, hunting, fishing and sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Bobby and Estella Marie Johnson.

He is survived by two sisters; Rona Johnson and Renita Johnson both of Paducah, a special friend, Helen Washington of Downers Grove, Illinois; several, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 1, 2022, 12 noon at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Rev's James H. Vinson and Melanie Nunn officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
