Obituary
Curley Alvin Simmons, Jr., 61, of Paducah passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015, 10:11 a.m. at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and Paducah Tilghman Trade School where he received his certification as a licensed electrician.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was employed by Martin Marietta Energy Systems for 20 years in the Electrical Maintenance Division.
He was preceded in death by his parents Curley A. Simmons, Sr. and Marie E. Keys Simmons and a sister, Janet Williams Thomas.
Survivors include a son, Auntoine (Ellen) Simmons of Paducah; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Pamela Jean (Mark) Stephens of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Robert "Bobby" J. Simmons of Paducah and Samuel Dale Simmons of Nashville. TN; two nephews; two nieces; and several cousins including James Curley Moore.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2015, 12 noon, at Pettus –Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
