Obituary

Crystal Michele Shackelford, 31, of Paducah, formerly of Milwaukee, WI, died Mon-
day, March 23, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was an internet manager at the Paducah Sun Newspaper and was a member of Rocky Ford Church where Jesus is Lord, where she was an ordained minister, a praise leader and a youth leader for the Women of Destiny, service facilitator and a member of Ephesians Minister Support Group. She was also an ordained evangelist for Jesus Christ Fellowship International. Shackelford was a member of the Newspaper Association of America, the Minority News Media Program, and a recipient of the Paxton Endowment Scholarship.

Shackelford was a graduate of Rufus Kings High School in Milwaukee, WI; Milwaukee Area Technical Community College majoring in commercial arts and West Kentucky Technical and Community College where she majored in multimedia. She also received a Bachelors Degree from New Hope Bible Institution.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Molly Beasley, and her paternal grandmother Lou Ella Shaw, and several sisters and brothers.

Shackelford is survived by her husband of seven years, Cornell Shackelford of Paducah; four sons Jamonte' Shackelford of St. Louis, MO, Christopher Letherwood and Micheal Hassel, both of Paducah; and X-ZayVoughn Shackelford of Columbia, MO; five daugh-ters Regina Murphy and Ayanna Thompson, both of St. Louis, MO; Nakita Cade of Co-lumbia, MO; Jasmine Williams of Union City, TN, and Sade'a Shackelford of Paducah;
Two grandchildren Renasjia Murphy and Renihya Murphy, both of St. Louis, MO; her mother, Ida Beasley of Milwaukee, WI; her father, Cletus Shaw, of Toledo, OH; her maternal grandfather, Charles Beasley, of Paducah, KY; her paternal grandfather Lawrence Shaw, of LaCenter, KY; nine sisters, Alyssa Arnold, of Paducah, KY; Carla Stone, Cletissa Shaw, Sherese Davis, all of Toledo, OH; LaShanda Banks, Lakeisha Banks, Tina Davis, all of Atlanta, GA; Josette Reynolds, of Minneapolis, MN; and Jonhna Scott, of Los Angeles, CA; eight brothers, Raymond Cobb, of Paducah, KY; Ashley Tucker, Angel Tucker, Robeen Wilson, Desmond Roundtree, Jevon Reeves, all of Toledo, OH; Atticus Shaw, and Todd O'Neil, both of Detroit, MI. Several other sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 South 8th Street, Paducah, KY. Rev. Charles E. Dunbar & Rev. Cornell T. Shackelford will Officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, KY.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the church.
