Clyde Mays, Jr ,age 80, of Charleston, Missouri, formerly of Paducah passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Charleston Manor Nursing Home.

He was formerly employed with the Lovelaceville Feed Mill and was a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Mays, Sr., Katherine Berry Moore and step-father James Moore, a daughter, Lizzie Bell, a son Tony Mays, two brothers, a grandson and a granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie Mays, Paducah; four sons, James Clyde Mays and Claude Mays both of Chicago, IL, Clyde Mays Jr. III, Paducah and Steven Mays, Charleston, Mo; five daughters, Rose White and Dorothy Irons both of Paducah, Minnie Speed and Patricia Strong both of Mayfield, KY and Catherine Mays of Charleston, MO; 18 Grandchildren; 32 Great-Grandchildren; one brother, Travis "Head" Mays of Braunswick, NJ; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, 1:00 PM at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Franklin Stone officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
