Obituary

Mrs. Clyda Marie Wells Harris of West Paducah, KY, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital. She was born December 28, 1943, in Benton, AR.

Clyda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don Roger Harris. She is also survived by her eight children, Donna Harris (Christopher Hanks) of Pleasant Grove, UT; Debra Chenier of Paducah; Dianna Black of Atlanta, GA;  David Harris of Tacoma, WA; Daniel (Kristy) Harris of Idaho Falls, ID; Denise (Cody) Dunne of Orem, UT; Deana (Chris) Hayes of Shelby, MI; and Donielle (Clay) Smith of Alexandria, VA, as well as 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Oleese Wells, and her sister, Carla Ford, all of Paducah.

She was a graduate of Heath High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a school bus driver for McCracken County Schools for over 20 years.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, August 2, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 320 Birch Street, Paducah, KY. Visitation will be at 10 am and the service will begin at noon, with Bishop Victor Zimmerman presiding.

Burial will follow at the McKendree United Methodist Church, 2860 McKendree Church Road, Kevil, KY.

Clyda loved bright colors, so the family requests that bright colors be worn.
