Obituary

Claude Eugene (Gene) Fisher, age 47, of Pontiac, Michigan, formerly Paducah, KY, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at his residence.

He united with Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in his youth. He attended Andrew Jackson Elementary School, Walter Jetton Junior High School, was a 1982 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and attended Paducah Community College. Fisher was employed by Dan's Excavating Company in Shelby Township, Michigan.

He was previously employed by Sears in Paducah and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Thomas Fisher and two daughters, Joi Chantal Fisher and Lauren V. Fisher all of Pontiac, MI; His Mother, Geneva Fisher of Paducah, KY; one sister, Danita Fisher of Paducah, KY; two brothers, Carl E. (Gaye) Fisher of Austin, TX and Keith A. (Sheila) Fisher of Akron, OH; his Grandmother, Lillie Anderson of Paducah, KY; one Aunt, Ruth Ann (Ronald) Jones of LaVergne, TN; six uncles, William Anderson, Perry (Sandra) Anderson, Darrell Anderson, Larry Anderson, Rev. Alfred (Sheila) Anderson all of Paducah, KY and Bobby L. (Charlet) Anderson of Poplar Bluff, MO; a great-uncle, Tom P. (Beverly) Wright Jr. of Paducah, KY; ten nieces and nephews; four great nieces and great nephews; many cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Edward Fisher; a sister, Sherrilyn E. Fisher; Grandparents, Marion Fisher and Melvin Fisher and a niece.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011, 12 Noon at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Burial will held on Monday, November 7, 2011, 11:30 A.M. at the Mounds National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.

The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday, November 5, 2011 form 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
