Clarence L. "Kokomo" Martin Jr., age 59, Paducah, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010, 10:00 p.m. at his residence in Paducah.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board and was a member of the Brotherhood. He is a veteran of the United States Navy. Martin formerly worked in maintenance for the Forest Hills Apartments.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Clarence L. Martin, Sr. and Pauline Holmes; one daughter, Yolanda Monique Holland; two brothers and one sister.
Martin is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ann V. Morris Martin, Paducah, KY; one son, Segrams Poston, Tallahassee FL; four daughters, Angela Martin, Lexington, KY, Avis Panner, Paducah, KY, Alita Poston, Indianapolis, IN, and Stanita Poston, Tallahassee, FL; eight brothers, James Earl Martin, Sr., Johnny Fitzgerald, Raymond Odell Martin, Sr., Lovell Martin, all of Paducah, KY, William Lawrence Martin, Sr. of Indiana, Brian Lewis Martin, of Indiana, Cecil Dwayne Martin, Sr., Metropolis, IL, Joe Fitzgerald, Springfield, MO; seven sisters, Patricia Thomas, Diane Stevens, Rose Marie White, all of Paducah, KY, Lucreta J. Lambert, El Paso, TX, Ileasia Handy, Springfield, MO, Tonya Michelle Martin, Terre Haute, IN, Lorie McPherson, Dyersburg, TN; two aunts, Mary Taylor and Ethel Coffie, both of Paducah, KY; 18 grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2010, 12:00 Noon at the Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church 1324 Bloomfield Avenue, Paducah, Kentucky. Reverend Alfred Anderson and Reverend Michael Wade will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, KY with Military Rites.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church.
