Chester Lee Brady, age 71 of Paducah, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, 8:32 p.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes.

He attended Lincoln High School and was a member of Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church where he served in the Usher Ministry.

He was previously employed at C. C Cohen's Restaurant as a cook and served as a veteran in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps.

Chester loved cooking, and it showed in his tasty dishes.  Watching westerns was his favorite pastime, and he also enjoyed playing cards with his good friend Larry Sebree and the neighbors. He often tried his hand at fishing.

Chester loved his family and was very protective of his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents , Nick Holt and Otye Brady Holt, four brothers, Frank David Kimball, Douglas Lee Holt, Nick Holt and Morris (Magic Slim) Holt, two sisters, Jean Holt and Lucinda Holt Brown.

He is survived by one daughter, Santana Reed, two grandchildren , Astaria Ramsey and Mario Ramsey, two brothers , Charles Holt all of Paducah and James Holt of Columbus, OH; three aunts, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating.

Family and Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
