Charles H. Williams, Sr., 74, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, 12:48 am, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Mr. Williams was a member of St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where he served as chairperson of the church's Founder's Day Program. He was a graduate of Draughon's Business College, earning an Associate Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Williams retired as a Maintenance Mechanic from the Paducah Housing Authority after 28 years of service.
He was a member and Past Master of Stone Square Lodge #5 F. & A. M. PHA, PAMPER, a former member of the W. C. Young Center Board of Directors and a Lifetime member of the Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Williams, two sons, Charles H. Williams, Jr. and Michael G. Williams, and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Bramley Williams, Paducah, KY, one daughter Reverend Renata Louise Williams, Roswell, GA; his Mother, Mary Algee, of Paducah, KY; one aunt Reverend Sarah Stratton, Paducah, KY;
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, August 3, 2012, at St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with Reverend Dr. Martha E. Granger and Reverend Renata Williams officiating; burial with military rites will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. with Masonic Rites at 7:00 PM at St. James CME Church. Friends may call the church after 11:00 AM on Friday, August 3, 2012.
