Obituary
Carolyn "Cookie" Evon Freeman, age 71, formerly of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at her residence in Indianapolis, IN.
She was a member of the Fountain of Truth Christian Church in Indianapolis. She earned her Master's Degree in Public Administration Services at Northern Michigan University. She was a Family Case Coordinator retiree of Marion County, IN.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Abraham Freeman, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Margaret Freeman of Indianapolis; one son, Abraham Freeman III of Oswego, IL; two granddaughters; two brothers, Charles Diggs, Jr. of Louisville and Edward Jones, Jr. of New Orleans, LA; four sisters, Janice Hodge and Dawn Diggs, both of Louisville, and Patricia Cooper and Fay Dalson, both of Indianapolis; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother Beatrice Diggs and her step-father Charles H. Diggs Sr.
Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, 1:00 pm, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
