Carolyn Ann Carruthers, age 74 of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, 12:45 a.m. at Riverhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Carolyn was known as a loving, kind person with a big smile. She loved taking care of her family, dancing and cooking. Carolyn was known for her famous greens.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Fendol Carruthers Sr., and Lennie Bowden Carruthers, four brothers; William Carruthers, Boyd Daniels, Torrie Carruthers and Fendol Carruthers, Jr.; one sister, Ruthie Daniels Coffie; two aunts, Luavada McKinney and Ocie Carruthers Long.

She is survived by one son, Jim (Zenita) Carruthers; three grandchildren, Ja'Lyne Carruthers, Jim Carruthers, Jr., Ajha'Nae Carruthers all of Crockett, TX; one brother, Charles Carruthers and one sister, Louise Carruthers both of Paducah; a host of nieces, nephews including her special girls; LaDonna (Jack) Reese, LaRonda Carruthers and Jayella Carruthers all of Paducah and Jackea Reese of Hopkinsville, KY

In compliance with the Kentucky Funeral Homes set forth by the Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association services will be private.
