Carl Eugene Henderson, age 72 of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, 9:05 a.m. at Mercy Health Lourdes.

He was a member of Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church and retired as a social worker from the State of Alabama Government Services; a retiree from  the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Theodore Henderson and Clara Lucille Stricklin Henderson, two brothers, Joe Edward Jones, Jr. and Michael Douglas Jones.

He is survived by one son, Maxwell Henderson and one granddaughter, Gabrielle Henderson both of Hendersonville, TN; one sister, Mary Anna Thomas of Paducah; niece, Jennifer Thomas of Nashville, TN, nephews, William (Deidre) Thomas of Nashville, TN, Derrick (Robin) of Memphis, TN, Joe Ed (Sherry) Jones III and Terry Lee Jones both of Houston, TX and Michael (Nikki) Anthony Jones of Indianapolis, IN, several cousins and friends.

Memorial services with military rites are scheduled for Sunday, September 26, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Raynarldo Henderson officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
