Obituary
Brenda J. Hicks, 56, Paducah, died, Friday, November 13, 2009 5:00 a.m. at her residence in Paducah.
Brenda was a member of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church where she served as an usher. She was a graduate of Ballard Memorial High School. Brenda worked as a Component Tester for Tele Service for more than 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Giles LaVoid Hicks and Mildred Eva Moore Hicks
Brenda is survived by two sisters, Diane Brown and Jean Robinson, both of Paducah; one brother, Tildon LaVoid Hicks, Paducah; two aunts, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Burks Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church 635 Ohio Street, Paducah. Reverend Rita Story, Reverend Barry Frazier and Reverend W. G. Harvey, Sr. will officiate, and burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
