On Thursday, September 10, 2026, Brandon Taiwan Ewing completed his life journey at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah. Brandon was born on September 9, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of LaRome Grayer and Virginia Ewing.
Brandon, a self-employed auto mechanic, was of the Baptist faith and attended Paducah Tilghman High School.
Throughout his life Brandon sought to be happy and bring happiness to those around him. There was never a dull moment in his presence because he loved to tell jokes and pretend he could speak in several different languages. He was known in the community as “Uncle B.” An immaculate dresser, he was known for “being clean” from head to toe. The most important people in his life were his family.
Left behind to cherish precious memories of Brandon are his Daughter, Cherish Ewing of Chicago, IL, Mother, Virginia Ewing of Paducah, Kentucky; his Father, LaRome Grayer; Four Sisters, Shanton Ewing of Gary, Indiana, Tracy Davis of Washington, D.C., Brenyatta Baisden and Michelle Adams, both of Chicago, Illinois; Two Brothers, LaRome Kingcade and Lovell Kingcade, both of Chicago, Illinois; Four Uncles, Kenneth Robinson of Oakland, California, Robert Bolling and Kevin Grayer, both of Chicago, Illinois an Dianthony Woods; Three Aunts, Rochelle Robinson of Oakland, California, Janice Robinson and Brenda Baisden, both of Chicago, Illinois; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends including, Lola Wilks, Paul Wilks Jr., Paul Wilks Sr., Donnie Ford, Marisha Ford, Eleslie Wilks, Yul Reese, Jasmine Harris, Reba Hollowell, Jeremy Swofford and Bill Mau.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Rutha and James Baisden, and his paternal grandparents, Norman Jones and Carrie Robinson.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, 11:30 a.m. at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church.
Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
