Obituary
Billy Ray Parker, age 66, Paducah, KY passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011, 7:45 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Parker was of the Baptist Faith. He graduated from Drakesboro Community High School and attended West Kentucky State Vocational School. Mr. Parker was employed by Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and VMV Enterprise where he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Otto Parker and Mattie Mae Young Parker; four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ann Parker, Paducah, KY; three sons, Chris Carruthers, Tim Carruthers, both of Paducah, KY, and Antwaun Hill, Virginia; five grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 28, 2011, 1:00 P. M. at New Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend W. G. Harvey, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The Family will receive visitors Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral hour at New Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church.
Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
