Obituary
Betty Jean Parker, age 85 of Paducah, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 , 12:01 a.m. at the McCracken Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Andrews and Anna Brown; her husband Vernel Parker; a sister, Georgie Alexander; a niece and a great-niece.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Powell and Dorothy Vasser both of Paducah, three nieces, Adell Ballard, Sandra Powell and Anna Scrivener; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Donna G. Hawkins and Reverend Joe Flagg to officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Monday from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
