Augusta Williams, age 74 of Brookport, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, 11:43 p.m. at Metropolis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Metropolis.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Lee Moore and Fannie Bell Moore, Martha Hancock who raised her as her own.

She is survived by her husband, James Wesley Williams of Brookport, IL; five daughters, Letha (Jim) Talton, Juanita (James) Ling, Shirley A. (John) O'Bryan, Joyce Beasley and Lawanda Matthews; two sons, Zanthe (Lisa) Matthews and J. R. Beasley; grandchildren, Renee Snow, Chelsea Snow; great grandchildren, Tre Snow, Erin Bartlett, Ashton Warren, Marhia Morales and a host of other relatives.

A memorial service will held at a later date.
